When creating your online dating profile you want to be honest, truthful and present a sense of your true self, but it seems most people are instead interested in appealing to the masses. When asked about their favorite things people seem to shy away from specifics and instead give a generic answer along the lines of “everything”. As I mentioned earlier, wouldn’t you rather find someone with the same taste in music as you instead of lying to them and yourself by giving the typical boring answer “I like everything from country to rap”. Even if you do enjoy all genres of music (which I doubt you actually do) give some examples of your favorites so you will be noticed by someone reading your profile and not passed over by being overly general and easily forgettable.

Do you really think there is anyone out there who isn’t looking for a good time? It goes without saying that when you go out with someone you want to have fun instead of going out and being bored and not having fun. If you’re complaining about dating websites while using a dating website you won’t attract anyone. Nobody wants to hear about how you “cant find any good woman” or that your “trying one last time”. Nobody likes a pessimistic defeatist, this will only give of an impression that your a complaining wet blanket which I don’t think is a quality anyone is looking for from your online dating profile. Try and say something positive like “I haven’t had much luck in the past, but I know the right woman is out there” this makes you sound hopeful and not depressing which will turn most people off faster then a woman who shares her profile picture with her cats that she describes as “my children”.

So if you want to stand out from the crowd and find a person who is interested in the same things you are. Don’t subscribe to the same cookie cutter responses as the all the other saps online. Be honest about yourself and don’t care if a person will like what you’re putting out there. Because if they don’t, then you don’t want to waste your time with them, and if they do then your saving yourself the time and giving yourself a huge advantage when it comes to success with online dating websites.
